We've got big plans for the Bronx River!
In 2005, the Alliance published the Bronx River Ecological Restoration and Management Plan
and the Bronx River Greenway Plan, companion documents laying out a vision for a restored
river and a continuous Bronx River Greenway in the lower Bronx River. Scroll down to explore
the map of the lower Bronx River and delve into plans, which are also available as PDFs for

In 2007, Westchester County released the
Bronx River Watershed Management Plan for the upper
watershed.
In 2010, with input from the community, the Bronx River Alliance, NYC Parks, Mathews Nielsen
Landscape Architects and the New York Department of State released the Shoelace Park Master
Plan, a new vision for a one-and-one-half-mile stretch of parkland along the river in the
north Bronx.
And in 2011, the Alliance, the Westchester County Department of Planning, NYC Parks Natural
Resources Group, and the New York Department of State came together to release a full-river
management plan: the Bronx River Intermunicipal Watershed Management Plan.
