We invite you to explore the flora and fauna, the cultural and industrial heritage of the Bronx River. A hidden gem in New York City, the 23-mile Bronx River flows eight miles of its course through the heart of the Bronx. Over its length, the river changes dramatically, passing through peaceful, wooded areas ideal for fishing and nature study, as well as areas where the river's industrial heritage and active business uses are still evident.
Want to walk with a group?!? Come on one of the Alliance's monthly Rambles
- free volunteer-led walks along the river, with guides telling Bronx River stories and histories. Rambles generally take place the second Saturday of each month
. Occasional additional group walking events listed on the Alliance's Bronx River calendar
